An exciting employment opportunity awaits the right individual as we advertise a new Senior role to be based in our Wellington office.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging person to lead, develop and implement the IPNANZ Cultural Strategy and national policy development. 

This new position focuses on strengthening the capacity and capability of Māori, Pacific, European and Ethnic communities, to respond effectively to their injury and violence issues through implementing the IPNANZ Strategic Plan through the development of effective national policies and practices. 

Reporting to the IPNANZ Director, this national role has a key focus based on policy development and analysis, community engagement and relationship management, as well as initiating and implementing business plans within and across community groups. 

You will need to have proven policy development and analysis experience, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, able to demonstrate successful engagement with a range of communities within New Zealand and of course expertise in and enthusiasm for injury prevention.

You will be a person with excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborating with a small management team. Your effective policy analyst, report writing, documentation and monitoring skills in the area of injury prevention will be an asset to the organisation.

The IPNANZ Cultural Strategies Manager role will be based in Wellington. 

IPNANZ's commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi is reflected in its 50/50 partnership of its Governing Board and also all Senior Managers, including the Director having allocated targets aligned to reducing injury to Māori.
